Human Resources Lead
Location: ICL Performance Products LP, Lawrence, KS
Scope: The successful candidate needs to have a broad HR background that will allow the candidate to provide HR direction to the plant leadership team and take responsibility for all the day-to-day administrative HR duties for the 165 person unionized site. This position will serve as part of the plant leadership team and will work closely with the corporate Human Resources staff.
Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Coordinate all plant Human Resource activities and initiatives, including but not limited to, performance management, recruitment and selection, training, and policy interpretation.
- Oversee recruiting and hiring activity for all hourly and salaried positions. Provide training and assistance to managers on employee selection and effective interviewing. Ensure completion of all pre-employment procedures.
- Responsible for EEO compliance and development and administration of the site’s Affirmative Action Plan utilizing resources from corporate staff & outside consultants.
- Serve as a resource to all employees. Provide guidance to managers on various aspects of employment law (FMLA, ADA, EEO/AA etc).
- Participate and assist in labor negotiations and contract administration.
- Facilitate new employee orientation. Determine plant training needs and identify training opportunities for employees.
- Maintain personnel files, process documents and assist with benefit plan questions, issues and enrollments
- Responsible for local payroll administration and recordkeeping
- Completes and processes paperwork regarding Unemployment compensation claims and leaves of absence. Maintains records of all paperwork
Experience/Skills Required:
- Business related degree or HR certification preferred
- HR Generalist experience preferred
- Knowledge of EEO/FMLA and other employment laws
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong influence skills, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented with proven advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Human Resource Generalist
Lawrence employer seeks an HR professional who will be the direct link to the hourly workforce and a key contact for employees.
Position responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the hourly workforce hiring/recruiting/selection practices
- Managing and leading new - hire orientations

This position requires:
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Human Resources
- Experience in Human Resources/Organizational Development
- Minimum 3 years experience working in the day-to-day HR functions.
