W-2 Distribution Deadline
The deadline to distribute W-2s is Tuesday, January 31. May you provide W-2s electronically? Yes! Can SHRM provide a sample Electronic Delivery Consent Notice? Yes!

W-4 Forms
The 2012 W-4 form is available. Are employers required to have employees complete a new W-4 each year?

Leap Year's Possible Extra Payday
2012 is a leap year. Leap years can create real consternation for payroll managers. By adding an extra day to the calendar, the odds that a business will have an additional payday over the course of the year increase.

OSHA 300-A Posting Period
Beginning February 1 of each year, covered employers must post the OSHA-required Form 300A, which summarizes an employer’s reportable injuries and illnesses for the prior year. The Form 300A posting period is February 1-April 30.
