    Jeff has more than 25 years experience in human resources. He has worked at companies that specialize in manufacturing, construction, and software development. During his career he has worked to recruit, retain and develop employees, at companies including ConAgra Foods, SPX, Midas International and American Crystal Sugar.

    Jeff is the founder of Human Asset Management LLC, which helps organizations to recruit, engage, develop and retain talent. He is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and a frequent speaker on the topic of loyalty, employee retention, recruitment and culture building. He is an avid high school wrestling fan, CrossFit participant and US Army veteran. Jeff is the author of Give Your Employees C.R.A.P...and 7 Other Secrets to Employee Retention and HR Horror Stories…True Tales from the Trenches.

    Melody Rayl

    "Harrassment and Bullying in the Workplace"

    As a partner in the Kansas City office, Melody Rayl zealously advocates for private and public-sector employers in all aspects of employment related litigation. When litigation occurs, Melody works with employers to develop an appropriate litigation strategy to address the unique nuances of each situation. She has successfully defended clients in individual discrimination, harassment and retaliation litigation, as well as collective action wage and hour disputes, from inception through resolution before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Melody also regularly advises and counsels her clients through difficult situations and provides training to supervisory and management level personnel on a variety of employment related topics.

    Prior to engaging in the practice of law, Melody served 6 years on active duty in the U.S. Army and 20 years as a law enforcement officer in a variety of roles. She also spent one year as an international police advisor in post-war Bosnia, during which time she supervised the Internal Affairs Investigation Unit responsible for investigating allegations of police brutality. Melody’s background provides her with a unique ability to assist both private and public-sector clients in effectively investigating claims of discrimination and harassment.

    Melody will address the topic of harassment and bullying in the workplace, and share best practices from her extensive experience addressing litigation with an eye to preventing lawsuits before they occur.

    Charlotte Tritch

    "Business Ethics Workshop"

    Charlotte is a Lecturer with the University of Kansas School of Business. She is an experienced academic program leader with demonstrated success in teaching and outreach. She is also the Associate Director of Entrepeneurship Programs with the university. Before starting with KU, she owned a marketing consulting business, and worked for the Olivia Collection and Payless Shoe Source. Her combined 15 years of industry experience in new project development, brand management, and marketing strategy have given her a unique perspective on ethics, which she will share with us.
     

    André  Davis

    "Culture and the Great Resignation"

    André is the Corporate and Community Engagement Executive for Built Interior Construction, a prefabricated interior construction company that builds commercial environments. André is an accomplished thought-leader, influencer, social activist, mentor/coach, speaker, and has been a guest on numerous podcasts & webinars to discuss an array of topics.  Andre has over 20+ years of experience working with CEOs, Executives and Entrepreneurs while continuing to give back to the community.

    • Ambassador Board Member for Big Brothers Big Sisters - Kansas City, where he and other members personally fund and award scholarships to local, at-risk kids.

    • Board Member, Vice President, upcoming President-Elect for the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City - Kansas City Tomorrow Alumni Association (KCTAA) which serves to support Members who are interested in enhancing their non-profit and civic leadership skills & talents.

    • Board Member for UMKC - Marketing Advisory Council (MAC )where he helps to prepare Undergraduates that are entering the field of Marketing.

    • Founding Board Member for The Beacon which is a newly launched Non-Profit online news media outlet, focused on public interest journalism. 

    • Advisory Board Member for C3KC Conference (Corporate, Civic, Community), the Junior League's annual collaborative conference which serves to spark change for a better Kansas City.

    • Former Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters – Kansas City which was created to identify diverse Mentors of Color.

    • Volunteers in collaboration with PrepKC which creates and implements strategies to improve college and career preparation for Kansas City's urban Students.

    • Chosen for the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, Kansas City Tomorrow leadership program which serves to develop leaders for civic, community and non-profit engagement

    • An alumnus of The Independent Magazine, Rising Star Award which serves to highlight up and coming Leaders.

    • Co-Founded and personally funds a scholarship at his Alma Mater College geared towards African American students.

    André hails from the East Coast but has called Kansas City home for many years and is Married to an Entrepreneur.  They live in Johnson County with their two kids.
