Julie Athey is Director of Compliance & Legal for The Miller Group, a benefits broker in Kansas City, Missouri.

Ms. Athey has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney, including 25 years focused on employment law, employee benefits compliance, and other HR matters. Julie provides her clients with hands-on compliance assistance and advice regarding a wide variety of legal requirements that apply to their employee benefits plans.

Ms. Athey has also authored several employment law manuals for HR – including on the FMLA and ADA – and is a frequent presenter on a variety of benefits, employment law, and human resources topics. She is a licensed attorney in Missouri and Tennessee.
