Jayhawk SHRM Chapter Program – State of Work in Kansas
Angela White and Nathan Kessler with the Kansas Department of Labor will give an overview of the current state of work in Kansas and resources to stay informed. Mr. Kessler will discuss Unemployment in Kansas and how it compares with Douglas County. The discussion will also include an analysis of Women in the Workforce in Kansas.
Mrs. White will discuss the many Labor Market Information Services resources available to keep human resources professionals informed about the workforce. This will include job openings, wage data, occupational projections, and high demand occupations. These resources are valuable tools as organizations seek to attract and retain talent amid the historically tight labor market.
