Workers Compensation 101
Ryan Boswell of the Kansas Department of Labor will speak on Workers Compensation in Kansas. He will cover the definition of Workers Compensation, a brief history and the three methods of coverage. He will discuss what an Injury is under the law as well as what to do before and after an incident occurs. Disability and survivor benefits will also be covered.
Learning Objectives
During this session attendees will learn the basics of workers compensation regulations and statutes, including: history, compliance and coverage, exemptions, reporting requirements, elections, and types of benefits.
